6 month old wont sleep during the day, help!

So I'm very lucky that my 6 month old sleeps very well at night - 10/11 hrs straight, occasional wake up.

She has never been a great daytime napper but over the last week, she just will not settle in her crib for her daytime naps... its really hard as its making her really tired which is interfering with me starting her on solids as when I offer her food at lunch/tea she cries but I can tell its overtiredness, not necessarily that she doesn't like the food.

When I put her in her crib, she will just mess around and play rather than fall asleep. I used to be able to leave her and she would fall asleep within 20 mins. Or sometimes she would fall asleep on a feed and I would place her in the crib and she would have a good nap. Now she wakes the 2nd I put her down. So I am at a complete loss as to what to do... she is very overtired in the evenings so clearly needs naps... any advice on settling for daytime naps would be appreciated, thank you!

PS: she will nap in the car and pram perfectly but I really don't want to have to go out every day at nap time...

Will she stay asleep if you hold her after she falls asleep feeding? I would just do that, and pram, and car, and sling, until whatever it is passes. Regression, leap, babies being ornery...

Mine will only be fed or rocked to sleep, or sleep in the pram. Tbh I'd give the world for a night sleeper, my 6 month old is up every 2 hours for about 30 mins during the night. He has 3 30 min naps during the day which doesn't really give me tome to do anything, so I'd be super happy with the night sleeping!!

Rock the pram in the house?

Try putting her down keeping one hand on her tummy and either gently rubbing the bridge of her nose with your straight index finger side on so it makes her blink, or stroke her face with the corner of a muslin dragging it gently over the eyes. If she makes eye contact with you pretend to yawn and close your eyes with long slow blinks.

These are all the tricks I learned when I worked in day nursery and I'd have a three or four babies to get to sleep and went on to use on my own babies.
