Porridge before bed to help with sleep?

I've seen a few times people suggesting to give babies porridge before bed to help fill them up and sleep better.

Would love to hear if this actually has worked for anyone? What age did you try it? How do you work into their bedtime routine?

How old is your baby?

My DD is 16 months and so far I've noticed no correlation between filling her and how well she sleeps unfortunately 🤷‍♀️ she's still not a great sleeper so have tried all sorts.

I've never seen this but our (mostly) breastfed baby has a bottle of formula before bed and sleeps like a dream because it takes longer to digest.

My kids have all eaten really well, including porridge or bananas before bed... makes no difference to their sleep at all!! None of my three kids has reliably slept before the age of 2...

@Oly4 does that mean I only have to wait until April for a full nights sleep?! I'll hold you to that Grin

I used to give porridge before bed when lo was around 10 months old. Amazing for us it worked it cut out the last night feed between 2-5 am. There is absolutely no harm in trying it (obviously as long as baby is over 16 weeks).

Does this help with adults too? I really fancy porridge before bed tonight, now ! Grin

Interesting...guess it could be worth a shot!

@Windydaysuponus & @Nix2020 Did you just give it to them just before your bedtime routine?
