My 9 month old has become a fairly good sleeper at night. He was awful for at least 7months but is getting there now and often sleeps through the night until around 5am. The problem is once he wakes then I struggle to get him to go back to sleep. My biggest frustration with this is that he is ready for a nap before 8am! He dropped his 3rd nap around 6 weeks ago, and simply refused to fall asleep the 3rd time, no matter how tired he is. So I have to try to balance time between 2 naps, which isn't easy given he struggles being awake for longer than 3 to 4 hours. He doesn't nap for huge stretches, but again has improved. Sometimes around 1h then 45 mins. Any tips or advice? Should I give him less day sleep to get him to sleep a bit later in the morning? Or adjust timings? Currently I try to get him to around 9am, then somewhere between 2 and 4. Or is it a case of he is a naturally early riser and to go with it?
