What time does your baby go to bed?

Our baby is 6 weeks today, for about a week he has been going to bed at around 10.30, until then he fusses and BF for quite a bit in the evening (the witching hour). Each evening i try to put him down earlier once he seems settled and tonight he was ok by 9.30. Just wondered what time you put your new babies to bed? And what age does the fussing stop?!

At that age we used to take him up to bed about 10pm and bath and feed him, he’d usually get to sleep bu about midnight! Then he started going down for a nap around 7pm and sleeping until we woke him for his bath around 10pm. We switched his bath to 6pm and 7pm became bedtime after that.

I have a 4 month old.
When he was 4-8 weeks he would cluster feed and nap on me from 5pm until about 9pm, then we'd do the bath and bed routine, he'd be out by 9:30.
After 8 weeks he started showing signs of falling asleep properly and deeply by 8:30, so we moved the bedtime routine to 8pm.
At 12 weeks we moved it back to 7pm, again because he started showing signs he needed an earlier bedtime.

At this young age, you're really just following their cues. They have a lot of growing to do so they will feed and feed most evenings before they have a longer chunk of sleep.
If you can get your baby down by 9 and they sleep for a longer period, great, use that time to get some sleep yourself!

And a simple bedtime routine helps them learn to associate certain acts with preparing to sleep eg:
Bath/wipe down
Massage with moisturiser (my LO has eczema)
Change into pyjamas
Dim the lights
Feed
Swaddle
Put to sleep
