4 month old waking at 5am each day

Hi, I saw a similar thread about 9 month old but hoped to get some advice for a smaller baby.
My 4.5 month old is on soy formula and she still feeds every 3-4 hours at night. So a usual night:
8pm bed
12 or 1am feed
3 or 4am feed
5am - up.

It doesn't seem to matter if she goes to bed earlier or later (tried 9pm bedtime and we've tried 7pm bedtime), whether she feeds at 2/3/4am - regardless, she wakes at 5am. I have tried 10pm dream feeds - but some nights that led to a feed at 2am then 5am (won't go back to sleep) or up every 2 hours, sometimes she won't take it.

Initially she seemed to wake at 5 to do a poo! Now it seems to have become habit. Any suggestions would be welcome x

Ps during the day she is having 4-5 naps totalling 4-5 hours in her cot or buggy

Who advised to give soya formula? It's not the first choice option for issues with cows milk. That's a lot of naps - is she not staying asleep for long at each one?

Honestly, you'd be better going to bed early, and getting up at 5 with baby. MUCH easier to adapt your sleep than a babies sleep! I know that's not what you want to hear tho.
Mine are still up at 5.30 most mornings, and are both at primary school.....

Hi dementedpixi, it was our 3rd option after realising CMPA. She refused 2 different EHF she was prescribed and after weeks of hearing her screaming at feeds I asked to try soy as myself and my siblings were brought up on it for same reasons. It has improved everything massively.

And yes, she is struggling to move through her sleep cycles in the day. I have v noisy almost 2 year old at home most days plus a 5 year old. So she gets disturbed by them sometimes. Our daily routine isn't the same every day either - 3days I do school/ nursery run and the other 2 days my husband just takes my son in. So daytime naps vary each day but I have been keeping a log for 3 weeks which has helped cut out 2 naps!! I would love to get her napping 3 times a day and a later start, but nonluck so far x

Hi winterheatwave, yes my 5 year old is an early riser and always had been (I swear this baby is his duplicate!!) I Judy thought there might be something I could do to stop myself having another one (my middle daughter will happily sleep until 7 or 7.30 given a chance!). I am often too tired to stay up for 10pm dream feed - and seeing as it doesn't seem to make much difference, I am still up twice and then again at 5, I am usually in bed at 9pm. But seeing as she goes down st 8pm that only leaves an hour to chill...
