Do bad sleepers ever come good?

Tired mummy here. LG almost 9 months. She has never slept great. From about 4months she's gotten up 2 or 3 times a night for a feed but it's getting progressively worse. At bedtime I have to wrestle her to sleep. She arches her back, hits punches and fits sleep. This will take usually an hour to get her to sleep. Then when she wakes up she'll cry until we come and do the same process again. This happens a few times a night. I am starting to reach the end of my rope. I can't do it anymore. Anyone had bad sleepers eventually get it? I'm thinking of sleep training her but she's been a bit sick recently and I've let her come into the bed with us whilst she's poorly but after that I want to do something. ANYTHING! any advice?

Yes. My daughter absolutely crucified us for about two years. Then she got a hell of a lot better. It coincided with going I to her own room though this could be coincidental.

I have to drag her out of bed for school now.

I swore I would get my own back at the time, but I haven't yet.

I keep mentioning this in posts, but after lots of reading I took my Dd to a cranial osteopath. Three sessions. It's the back arching you mention which makes me post now. This is what she was doing and he said in her case it was pain.

I can hand on heart say she is like a different baby. Happier, more settled, and sleeps very well. This was the baby that I thought was going to kill me, with me getting an hour a night if I was lucky. It may not work for everyone and I suppose it will depend on the treatment but for her it's been like a miracle.

Should've seen me trying to get my teenager out of bed this morning. He was an awful sleeper in his first year of life. Now he's a champ.
