4 month old wakes every day at 3am! HELP!

My 4 month old has started waking every day at 3am and won't go back to sleep until 6-7am. What can we do? We've tried everything. Sling, walks in the pram, feeding, rocking, singing but LO will not go to sleep until ready again. Do we just have to accept this? Is this the 4 month sleep regression? Will it pass?!
LO is EBF and usually feeds to sleep but this doesn't work at 3am as he's still awake after his feed.
Any advice gratefully received.

The likelihood is it's only a short term thing but in the meantime I would just keep the lights low, don't interact too much just try and feed back to sleep and possibly cosleep for a couple of hours in the hope you can sneak 10 mins here and there.

I definitely wouldn't be getting up and putting them in slings or proms and that malarkey. It reinforces to them that when they wake up some exciting interaction is going to happen with mummy or daddy.

Thanks @pastabest good advice. Unfortunately he's not awake happy he's awake crying so we sort of have to get up with him and walk him about or he'll just lay there screaming. We do feed back to sleep and we do cosleep. I'm just at a loss. He's fighting sleep so much I have no idea how to get him to sleep?! The only ways are feeding or pram or sling and these don't always work!

Mine has been doing this. Same age and stage and EBF. I have a light projector which i put on and (not 100% success rate) they lie and watch that quietly whilst I dose- sometimes eventually dose off or take another feed then back to sleep. We have had this issue for about 2.5 weeks and it is slowly starting to improve.

4 month sleep regression is THE WORST! It will get better in a few weeks though

Thanks. We also have the projector. I'll try that. He does like that. Often he still cries though. I really hope it does get better soon.
