Can my NB nap on a pillow?

I read babies shouldn’t sleep on soft places like pillows and duvets. Sometimes after I feed my NB I put her on a pillow or soft blanket in my lap to get myself sorted and admire her gorgeous self- is this okay or am I putting her at risk of sids? She is never alone on the pillow and never there for ore than 15 min or so and I also don’t use too soft of a pillow. Don’t want to take any chances pf course so will stand up straight away or put her on a harder surface if that’s safer for her. Xx

I don't think what you are doing is a problem as she's on you and therefore won't suffocate as you will see if it ends up on her face.

Officially no. Unofficially, you are the mum here and it’s your call and your responsibility to do it safely and monitor depending on the possible risk.

I don’t follow guidelines personally. I use my common sense and instinct.
