Will the baby wake her toddler sister if they share a room?

DD2 is still in her cot at the end of our bed and is waking about 4 times a night although I am only feeding her twice a night now. I'm sure half the problem is that she knows we are there. I can see two beady blue eyes staring at me even before I've got up!
But if I move her in with her sister I'm scared she's going to wake the other one up.

What have other people's experiences been?

How old are your two? Am seriously considering putting DD2 (8 months) in with DD1(27 months) as I think we disturb DD2 so also looking for other folks experiences!

DD2 no longer feeding in night but does wake up before DD1.

We moved ds2 in with ds1 when they were 5 months and 3.3 yrs respectively. Ds2 rarely disturbed ds1 during the night, more often it was his early morning waking (5/5.30 ish) that disturbed ds1, as it was too late for him to resettle properly.

Now they are 4.3 and 16 months, it tends to be ds1 that disturbs ds2 when he goes to bed half an hour or so later!

Mine are 6mths and 2.5, both go to bed at the same time.
We had a mini breakthrough lastnight when the baby only woke once, hooray!!

Dd will be 22 months when new baby born and as soon as new baby is ready they'll be sharing as we have no choice. So just hoping they'll both adjust with time?

Just moved DD (1 year + 2 weeks) in with DS (3.3). Did it because he was starting to come through to our room at 5.30 am and wake us all up, her included. Now, her crying for bottle at about 4am doesn't waken him, his getting up at the crack of dawn doesn't waken her (just us). HV I know pointed out to me that the sound of baby crying isn't an unusual one for the toddler as they're used to it through the day, so you'd be amazed at how they can just sleep through it. I'd say go for it now and get your sanity back!

I need my sanity back. After the mini breakthrough both DDs have a virus and I've had so little sleep I feel like a zombie.

I've given myself a deadline - if the baby does not settle down by the end of the month, she's in with the other one. Fingers crossed it'll work.

Ds1 was 3.2 when ds2 arrived on the scene. They've shared from the start. Both took a little time to adjust (ds1 learning to ignore ds2 at bedtime when he was crying; ditto in the middle of the nigh; ditto in the morning; ds2 learning to fall asleep despite ds1 playing / playing up). Was quite short-lived though.

We moved DS2 in with DS1 when they were 4 and 1 respectively. It worked really well, regardless of how much baby cried, brother never woke up. And vice versa. Now, they both sleep really well, and rarely wake up.

I've just moved dd2 (6 months) in with dd1 (4). She sleeps so much better in there and so far has only woken dd1 once (briefly).
I'm more worried about dd1 waking dd2 up as she has started having nightmares.

Mine shared at that age. They did sometimes keep each other awake, but on the plus side they were company for when they had bad dreams or were scared or not feeling like being alone.

And when you hear them chattering and giggling away together it's worth a bit of sleep disruption.

also my 2 older ones kept and still keep dd3 in bed in the morning, and police her waking up, and then take her down for breakfast. You can make it quite a positive thing sharing a room.
