Anyone’s baby go to bed before 7pm ?

Dd is 4 months.

She was going to bed at 7, but over the last few weeks has been screaming from 5.30 onwards.

I’ve decided to move her bedtime to 6.30 as she just seems to tired to wait until 7. This is despite napping 4.30-5pm.

Does anyone’s baby go to bed at 6.30?
What time do they wake up? My concern is DD will start wanting to get up really early....

I wouldn’t want to keep a tired baby awake so I would justgo to sleep early too. Then it won’t matter so much if you are up early.

Anyone?

I moved my sons routine forward to start bath at 6.20/6.30 and in bed about 15 min later and the quality and quantity increased massively

DD has gone to bed at 6.30pm since birth, she’s now 17 months old and can’t cope waiting any longer. She stays asleep til around 6am so it’s a good chunk of sleep. Thankfully she’s like me because I bloody love sleeping!

My 18m old goes to bed at 6.30pm and wakes up at 6.30am Sometimes he would go earlier and it doesn't affect his wake up too much. I would prefer 7-7 but tbh the last hour is a cranky one for him!

notanaturalmum · 27/09/2018 19:30

What are her other naps like in the day?
I would look at those first. I wouldn't expect her to be really tired at 6 if she has had a 4.30 till 5 nap. Unless she is angry that she has woken up.
I'm hardly the font of all knowledge but I would be fearful that a 6.30 bedtime might turn into a 5.30 wake.

Yes, both of mine went down about half six at that age, having previously been going to be about half 7. Made everyone a lot happier

Namename86 · 27/09/2018 19:37

My 16 month old goes up at 6pm. Between 6.30/7pm if she's had a nap during the day. When she was younger I sometimes had to put her up at 5.30pm as she was so tired and she would sleep in until 9am some mornings take me back.

At 3 months, my DS was going to sleep at 6. Sometimes even 5:45! It has drifted to 6:45/7 now - he is almost 2. But he has always preferred an early bedtime compared to his peers. He is usually up between 6 and 7

Bananacentral · 27/09/2018 19:46

Yes, my 9 month old has been bathed, fed and ready for bed by 6.30

bargainsgalore18 · 27/09/2018 19:55

She has 4 naps per day, but they don’t tend to be long, perhaps average 30/40 minutes

Mind used to do 6-6 from about 5 months, I didn’t mind coz I’m an early morning person

MrsGB2225 · 27/09/2018 19:58

My 10mo only sleeps 7-5!! With 2 hours in the day Confused

GetSchwifty · 27/09/2018 20:02

My 18 month old is normally in bed by 6:30, he wakes between 6 and 7. When he was younger he was sometimes in bed by 6.

TwittleBee · 27/09/2018 20:05

Yeah DS regularly ends up going to bed before 7pm and at 4 months I recall he would be tucked up by 6pm most night (but he'd wake up every 2 hours for a feed haha)

DrCoconut · 27/09/2018 20:07

If DS3 (almost 3yo) goes to bed much before 8 he treats it like a nap and wakes up bright eyed and bushy tailed around 10 ready for another few hours playing 😱. They are all different and following their lead is probably best as long as it's not hugely incompatible with daily life.
