1 year old sleep worse than ever!

My 12 month DS is slowly killing me. He started so well, sleeping really long chunks of sleep early on but since the 4 month regression has been up 2-4 times per night. He's BF and feeds to sleep but I never worried about this as his sister naturally improved and was sleeping through on occasion by 12 months.

This last week he's been up in the night still but it's taking forever to get to sleep again- crying and screaming and not settling whether I feed him, hold him or put him down. Naps are a nightmare too. I've tried nurofen in case it's teeth but it's made no noticeable difference. Is it time to sleep train? I never had anything like this with DD so never had to contemplate CC or anything.

Take him to the GP and get him checked for an ear infection and a uti. Both imhe cause random screaming at night with no apparent other symptoms.

If both are clear, try sleep training. At his age, they are starting to try and manage the environment around them rather than just passively go along with it. Parental guidance can be helpful to set up good habits (like staying asleep as nothing fun - parents coming to see me - willl happen if i get up)
