Hello ladies, would anyone have advice for a desperate mum? My son is 14 months old and for the last 10 months has slept 11 hours a night quite happily in his own room. Since we moved house a week ago he has been waking up frequently sometimes on the hour. he'll drop off in my arms and as soon as he's down scream and throw himself against the side of the cot. This is distressing for both him and me. I've taken to bringing him into my bed but don't want this to become a habit. My husband is also a terrible snorer and I am becoming bitter and twisted through lack of sleep. Any advice much appreciated.

my ds did the same at exactly the same age.

I would go into his new room rather than take him into yours, because he will need to get used to it before sleeping in it alone. Can you put a mattress for yourself (and perhaps him) on the floor? You might be able to sneak away later but on the plus side you will be away from the snoring!

Once I bit the bullet and lay down with him ds settled really quickly and after a couple of nights stopped waking. I then left him to it.

I think he was anxious that we would sneak back to the old house while he was asleep, leaving him alone.
