Sleeping all day awake at night!

My 7 week old has gotten into the habit of sleeping all afternoon & being wide awake at night! He wakes for feeds during the day but then goes straight back to sleep. I try to keep him awake but he's so sound asleep he won't waken. Last night he was awake all night. Any help please?!

I'm afraid this is completely normal...from a biological and evolutionary perspective it makes sense for tiny babies to be nocturnal. Breastfeeding hormone, prolactin, is higher at night (biological), and its easier for mum to be on the look out for predators if awake at night (evolutionary). Not necessarily what we need in the modern world eh!
