Just worried me! Can't stop him doing it and I'm too tired to sit up all night monitoring him Confused

Umm, why wouldn't he be ok?

Can he roll back again? If so, there's no problem, it's obviously just how he's comfortable.

All the safe sleeping advice says on their back and DD who is older never started sleeping on her tummy until 10 months or so!

Sorry if it was a silly question!

Probably is comfy, he seems it thanks Smile

If he can roll back unaided he's fine.

I worried about this too when it first happened, but my little one actually slept better for it. Easy to lose perspective at 3am!

I'm sure the advice is back to sleep ... until they start rolling back and forth by themselves? I'm sure he'll be fine OP, go get some sleep Smile

I think as long as you're lying him on his back and he's getting himself to that position, the theory is that he can get himself back again, which is what matters, or at least that was the advice from our doctor. So if you're still placing him down on his back, and he's taking it from there, you should be good Smile Hope you manage to get some sleep!

My Little one is much younger but just wanted to comment on the beauty of MN! No where else could you find a bunch of mums all awake at the same time ready to help each other out at 3am!!!

My ds only ever settled on his tummy from birth but as he was a sicky baby with apnoea the hv said it was probably better for him. As long as they can roll back , or at least lift their head high enough to turn their face then I wouldn't worry.

Ah, the photo is really dark but think I can just a about make out a gorgeous grinning baby?! Smile

I agree with others - pop him down to sleep on his back, but looks like he's ready to start rolling around and making you wonder how on earth he got himself into all these weird positions haha Grin

Also love how there is always someone awake to help and support no matter what the hour.
