Does your baby sleep on one side with their head?

My DS is 13 weeks and massively favours sleeping on his right hand side, so his head is always on the right hand side.
It's starting to look a little flatter on that side now. Is this normal? Just thinking about flat head syndrome etc.

I got a breathable pillow suitable for newborns- £12 on Amazon. It reduces flat head syndrome. My DD is always slumped to the right in the pram; we had it checked out by an osteopath and he said there was nothing wrong with her, we all have preferences like that.

I have the same problem with my 14 week old. Has a preference for his left side and his head is quite flat now. Doctors always reassure me it will go back to normal but I’m not so sure.? During the daytime naps I position him so he sleeps with his head to the other side but I can’t stop him at night time!

Same here. My 6 week old favours her right, she leans to her right, sleeps with her head to the right and always looks to her right hand side, despite my best efforts at repositioning her. The HV said it's normal and to encourage her to look to her left by rolling up a muslin and popping it under her right side and talking to her from the left, to get her attention on that side. I've bought a specialist pillow also, just waiting for it to arrive...

My little boy always turned to his left in his crib, because my bed is on his left. I started putting him in the crib "upside down", i.e. with his feet where his head had been the night before, and after a few nights he was turning his head towards the right instead because I was now on his right. So now I just alternate which way I put him in the crib every week so he will spend half his time looking right and half left. Could something like that work for you?

My eldest had this (now 20) and it never corrected itself completely and you can very vaguely see his face is slightly distorted because of it DC 2 and 3 never did it but DC4 did. I took him to a chiropractor and it was a miracle cure.

My youngest had this and now at 2 the head seems to have rounded out nicely.
