about 20 months with ds1, 10 months with ds2

feetheart · 08/05/2007 22:20

Far too early with both of them!!!
DS is now 18mths and hasn't slept twice in a day (unless he's ill) for at least 8 mths, maybe more.

PrincessPeaHead · 08/05/2007 22:20

dd2 was about 9 months or so - incredibly early anyway I thought
my others all much later, at least a year

luckylady74 · 08/05/2007 22:20

i think about 18 months with ds1 and 12 months with twins.

Twinklemegan · 08/05/2007 22:22

When yours went to just one, did they make it a longer one? My DS is currently on two, or even three, but usually 40 mins tops.

tassis · 08/05/2007 22:23

TM with ds (now 4) when he had 2 naps a day they were more often than not 40 mins...when he switched to only one it was much longer (and that lasted from the age of 1 to about 3)

just wondering what dd (almost 8 months)might like to do...

nap, naps??? I dream of my 15mo ever having a decent nap (rather than a 20 minute cap-nap) although I suppose I have no real chance of him actually starting now

yes my dd is 15 months now and she went from 40 minutes to now about 2 hours (well anything between 1.5 and 3 hours)

much more convenient having one long nap than two short ones too

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/05/2007 22:31

10/11 months, same time as she started walking.

Twiga · 08/05/2007 23:06

2 naps a day? - dd was nearly 9 months before she finally gave in and started having one def nap a day after lunch. Up til then was just too nosey to sleep much during the day!

gingernut · 08/05/2007 23:21

About 1 year for both dses.

ja9 · 08/05/2007 23:23

oh hello!

i have a really bad memory re things like this. however, i think it may have been when ds was just over a year...

maybe you remember?

Never - DS is 1 - well not since we got definite naps. He has one good one a day (around mid/late morning) which can last around 1-2hrs and thats it unless we are in the car or sometimes the pram which sends him to sleep. If I put him down again we just get an hour of fussing/crying and by then its getting near tea/bath/bed so I don't bother. Its the same pattern at nursery. I just concentrate on him having one really good day time sleep.

caspercat · 09/05/2007 07:55

DD 10mths next week. Has just dropped her morning sleep and now sleeps for 2 hrs at midday-ish.
