Baby sleeping in snowsuit

I accidently discovered today that my 8 week old will fall asleep by himself during the day when put in a snowsuit. Which is great as had previously had to go out in sling/pram to stop him from getting overtired in day.

I was watching him and unzipped the suit when he was asleep so he wouldn't overheat.

I'm worried about sids risk but also a small part of me wonders if I could put him in it tonight. Our house is so cold and even with heating on our bedroom is 2c at the moment. He slept badly last night mostly I think because he was cold.

Any thoughts...?

Btw we used the wadded sleepsuit with just a vest underneath when the bedroom was about 21 degrees, at 14 degrees I would suggest a vest and a normal sleepsuit (AKA babygro) underneath it.

Ds wore long sleeve vest, baby grow and long sleeve 2.5 tog sleeping bag last night and his room was 15 degrees. He woke screaming at 2.30 and I'm pretty sure it was because he was cold. We are going to get a small portable radiator for his room as the thermostat for the upstairs heating is in our room and our room is always warmer, could you get something similar?

Also Jojo's do long sleeve sleeping bags and long sleeve 'cosy' bags that are 3.5 tog!
