Weaning a baby off cosleeping

My 4 month old baby and I co sleep and soon I'd like to try her in a cot. She feeds off and on during the night (ebf)
I'm sure I have created a big rod for my back but it has kept me sane as she sleeps well next to me.

Any advice on how to wean her into a cot and smooth the transition ?

Start with playing in cot and work on putting them in for the first stint when they usually sleep best and try to gradually increase amount of night in cot.

I need to get lb back to all night in cot but he's bf quite often through night and i'm struggling

Please ban this phrase from your vocabulary. Your baby is tiny. If it’s working, why change it?

In my (limited) experience from around 4 months is when sleep can get tricky so if it’s working for you I wouldn’t rock the boat now.

I'm in the same boat but as it's when the 4 month sleep regression kicks in I'm going to keep going for the meantime. I feel a bit better after reading of posters on here who have done the transition easily at around 18 months.
