School nights - 8pm, reading until 8.30

Any other night, depnds what is going on but not that much later as my evenings without children are very precious to me!

gtimama · 21/04/2007 14:16

Two eight yr olds go up at 7.30, lights out at 8.00.

14 yr old (constant battle). Come to an arrangement now whereby she is allowed on computer til 9.30. (Then it's mine). She can watch TV in her room til 10.30.

kittypants · 21/04/2007 14:27

emwad · 21/04/2007 14:27

9YO DD bed at 8pm, lights out at 8.30 but she doesn't fall asleep until 9-9.30ish and is a nightmare to get up in the morning!

Cappuccino · 21/04/2007 14:29

lol at daffodil

I think you should open the wine earlier though to let it breathe

4pm would be about right

claireabo · 21/04/2007 14:37

dd2 is 6 bedtime 7.30
dd1 is 9 bedtime 8.00
ds1 is 1 bedtime 7.00
all of this being in an ideal world as the girls share a room and dd2 usually waits for dd1 and then they talk till 8.30 or i get cross which ever happens quickest.

Age 6 and 9 anywhere between 8 and 10

joash · 21/04/2007 14:46

GS = bed at 7 (at the latest - sometimes goes earlier if very tired), reads until 7.30
DD1, 2 & DS used to go at 6.30 until they were about 7, then it went up to 7.30 for a couple of years, then 8 until each started at the local comp - and then it went up to 8.30 / 9.00.
DS is 18 next and still goes to bed about 9.30 on a college night (reads until around 10ish).

nappyaddict · 21/04/2007 15:01

charliecat are they ok getting up in the morning and not too tired in school going to bed that late?

noddyholder · 21/04/2007 17:52

ds 12 goes to bed at 9.30 reads til 10 then lights out.It varies at the weekend depending on what we are doing

SSShakeTheChi · 21/04/2007 17:58

dd is 6, goes to bed at 7 but she reads, then I read and we chat so whole process takes a while.

She's asleep at 8 or 8.30 and gets up at 6.30

rantinghousewife · 21/04/2007 18:00

Ds - 13 goes between 9-9.30
dd - 4 between 7-7.30 depends how tired she is.

sunnysideup · 21/04/2007 18:19

ds is 4 and he is always up in bed by 6.30, but the time he actually drops off at really varies, between 6.30 as soon as his head hits the pillow, and 7.30 - 8pm some nights.

We try to keep an early bedtime as he is an early riser.
