Or sleeping at night for periods of 6 hours +

Just curious.

DC1 - 6 months
DC2 - 10 weeks
DC3 - 11 months

Obviously there were the usual colds, teething episodes etc where we were back to square one again.

HeyMicky · 08/10/2017 14:22

Both dropped the 3am feed at about 7 months and then the dream feed at 10 months

usernameavailable · 08/10/2017 14:22

Dd1 3days (i was told to wake her, i never did, she was never a hungry baby but grew perfectly)

Dd2 now aged 3.10 never has for a block of time, just 2-3 nights a week.

Dd3 now aged 20m she slept through from 6 weeks, was late going to sleep though. Then at 16/17 weeks she went to waking once or twice a moght for a month or so. Then went back to sleeping through.

Disasterpol · 08/10/2017 15:04

DD started sleeping through (approx. 10pm to 7pm) when she was 11 weeks old.

DD stopped sleeping through when she was 7 months old.

DD is now 13 months old and we are getting quite tired...

MrsStinkey · 08/10/2017 15:16

DD1 always has from birth
DD2 off and on from a couple of weeks and then properly from about 16 weeks. She had feeding and weight gain issues due to reflux and was finally properly medicated at that age after being admitted to hospital which I think sorted her sleeping.
My kids have always been decent sleepers. I don't know if it's luck or something I did!

silkpyjamasallday · 08/10/2017 15:36

DD slept through the night twice at 11 months when we were on holiday. She is now 13 months and has not repeated it. She still feeds frequently in the night and from about 5-7 am is on the boob non stop so I always get up feeling pretty crap unless I went to bed early. Everyone keeps telling me once she is in her own bed/room she will sleep but I'm not willing to traipse back and forth all night or do sleep training, cosleeping means at least I don't have to get out of bed. So we are getting a super king sized bed so we can ride it out in comfort!

LapinR0se · 08/10/2017 16:56

10 weeks, routine-led and combination fed

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 08/10/2017 16:58

DD just over 2 years maybe 5/7 nights. I’m pregnant with DC2 & pray this one sleeps better

nomad5 · 08/10/2017 17:04

DC1 sleeping 12 hours+ from 13 weeks. It was wonderful!!

DC2 has always been a terrible sleeper (waking every 1-2 hours until nearly 2) but mostly sleeps through now she's nearly 3. A nightmare to put to bed.

This is why there is no DC3, I'm only just coming out of the fog of very serious sleep deprivation.

It honestly depends on child's personality....

buckyou · 08/10/2017 18:59

6 hours I think mine have both done since quite young but slept through the whole night they have both just started at 8 months and 2 years 3 months!

Sunnyx · 08/10/2017 19:13

Ebf. 6 hours from 3 months. Now 5 months and we got out first 9 hr stretch last night! 😄

Gertie777 · 08/10/2017 19:15

8 weeks. 12 hours by 16 weeks. I’m scared to have another as I know I can’t be that lucky twice!

buddy79 · 08/10/2017 19:29

14 months. Not the best, not the worst! Still a couple of broken nights most weeks now at nearly 3 but it is SO much better.

iamUberA · 08/10/2017 19:36

Mine still doesn't and she will be 9 next month..

KadabrasSpoon · 08/10/2017 19:40

Reassuring to see a few other older non sleepers on here

DS1 still doesn't. Age 3.
DD2 about 6 months

AprilShowers16 · 08/10/2017 19:48

He started doing blocks of 6 hours at 10 - 11 months, 14 months now and we've had a handful of nights where he has slept through

SnowiestMountain · 08/10/2017 19:59

DC1 - 22 months
DC2 - 3.4 years

I was up in the night, every night, for virtually 5.5 years! But it does end! They’re 4 & 6 now and could win an award for amazing sleep, I’ve done my time!!

WhyOhWine · 08/10/2017 20:01

DD1 4 months
DD2 5 months

It took a couple of weeks for it to become every night from the surprise of the first time it happened, , and neither ever regressed even when teething etc (apart from the odd bit of jet lag). We are all good sleepers in our family!

xqwertyx · 08/10/2017 20:18

DS was 2 months i was sooo lucky, i had bad PND and i think that saved me from being much much worse. But i do agree they are all completely different and i dont think it makes any difference to the LOs, its just lucky if you get a sleeper inner!

xqwertyx · 08/10/2017 20:19

Just to add - that was 6 hours ish - so if he went to bed at 10pm at 2 months old after last milk, he was up at 4am.... if thats classed as sleeping through Grin

xqwertyx · 08/10/2017 20:20

He was 3 weeks overdue too so maybe more like 3 month old Grin

MeriReu · 08/10/2017 20:22

DS is almost 4 and wakes 4-6 + times a night.
He slept through from 6 weeks until 8 months old - he basically tricked me Grin

He has sleep apnea though so this obviously plays a huge role in his muddled sleeping

ZivaDiva · 08/10/2017 20:27

DD 8 weeks 10.30-0500 by 3 months 7-05.30
DS1 3 months 7-5.30
DS2 4 months 6-6

By 4 months old all 3 were sleeping 6-6 most nights

confused123456 · 08/10/2017 20:28

Our ds was 3 months

BelfastSmile · 08/10/2017 20:32

DS was just over 2; went from waking 5 times a night to just sleeping straight through in the space of a week! Mostly sleeps through now (just turned 3) unless he has a cough or something.

DD is 7 months and still wakes about every 3 hours.
