2 year old bed time?

Hi ladies, just wondering what bed time you have for your two year old?

If my dd naps in the day (1.30-2.30pm) she won't settle until after 9pm... too late.... and if she doesn't nap she is ready for bed by 6.30pm... too early??

Any advice appreciated...

Thanks!

Dd is 2.5 but her bedtime has been around 7 for a while now. She naps around 12:30 - 3:00. If she has been looking tired I take her up about 6:45 for bath and stories, if she is ok we go up just after 7. She is usually asleep by 8:30 and does talk to herself in her cot for a bit. Sleeps for about 11 hours. She is quite a snoozy girl! But I find that 15 minutes either way can make a huge difference to bedtime.

My 2yr 5mo old has a nap at about 12.30, and wakes anywhere between 2.30 and 3.30pm! She goes to bed at 7, and wakes at 8am if we haven't woken her up before that. FATE my daughter still needs a lot of sleep too!

My just turned 2 year old goes to bed at 7.30 and sleeps through until 7.30 ish. She has an afternoon nap 12.45-3.30 ish. Ds is 3.8 and will still nap for 2 hours in the afternoon if we're at home.

Naps between 1 and 2 hours at lunchtime and sleeps from 6.30 until 7am.

After not sleeping for the first 18 months of her life I am more than happy with that! She is coming up to two and a half.

18 month old here
She doesn't nap some days. On the days she naps it's 30-45 minutes.
Sleeps 12-13.5 hours solid at night

Am v v v envious of kids older than dd napping for 2-3 hours plus still going to bed.
If dd naps past 2pm or has an hour plus nap she doesn't settle at night till 9pm

My 2.5 year old sleeps 1-3:30 and goes to bed about 7:30pm and wakes about 06:30am unless he needs a wee at 5:30 in which case I can't get him back to sleep.

That's a really long nights sleep, I suppose you can't have it both ways. We are edging closer to 12h overnight here, but any flexibility will always be downwards so it's an 11-12h night.

have friends with 4 yr olds who need a 2hr nap after preschool every day

DD starts preschool in January with no signs of dropping the nap. So my day will consist of 8.45-12.15 nursery, lunch, 1-3pm nap. I will have no option but to restrict her nap in order to do the school run.

My son was September born, so almost 5 when starting full time school. I had to force him to drop his nap from 4y6m in readiness for school because he would have kept it. His was only 1-2h by them though.

Ours is two next month and sleeps for 3 hours in the afternooon at home or 2-2.5 hours at Childminder's. Plus 12 hours at night

LapinR0se · 22/08/2017 13:54

Yeah there's a huge difference between just turned 2 and almost 3.
When our DD was just 2 she slept 2 -2.5 hrs in the day and 7.30 to 7 at night. But after a few months we had to start trimming the nap and now we are at 45 mins nap and 8-7 at night.
