Why has 16mth old started waking in the night again (Not teething)?

She took 13mths to sleep through but wakes crying once or twice crying. Milk is the only thing that allows her to go back to sleep....

Developmental leap? We are going through the same with our similarly aged child who has started BFing again at night, having been weaned off that for many months. Admittedly we are dealing with teething too. He is up at least twice and for 1-2 hours at a time, as we won't settle, It's like he's wired and wants to sing and shout and play (which is what is making me think it's mainly leap.)

he is absolutely shattered in the morning however and he is staggering about like a drunk man by 6pm, so it can't be good for him. I hope it stops soon. We are on week 3.
