have 18m dd who used to be brillant at going to sleep on her own in cot and was sleeping thru till morning. Now screams the place down when put to bed. i leave her to cry for a bit and then sit in the room until she falls asleep. Now also waking in night and only way i can get her back to sleep is in my bed.

I found it great for younger ones, but once my DD was old enough to suss out crying = cuddles it all fell apart.

Did not work for us. I found that the whole picking up and putting down business upset ds more then just leaving him to it.

Love the baby whisperer for structure of day etc but agree that Pick up put down just wound everyone up! Ended up like a sodding yo yo.

Sorry but I found it very good. Worked like a charm with ds3 and is now working with ds4 who is 5 months old . You have to have a lot of patience though.
