8 on a school night. 9 at weekends.

8 school night 9/10 on weekends. Depending if we have friends over, if football is on the next day or if someone seems particularly tired !

He's usually asleep by 9 but routine starts about an hour before.

DD1 is 10. Her bedtime is 7pm - she then gets an hour to read and chill out. Lights out at 8pm.

She is an early riser so needs to be asleep at a decent time and it works for us. Later bedtimes has never resulted in her sleeping later, it just leads to a grumpy child the next day.

I have an 8 and a 6 year old, so bed time happens at the same time for both, go up about 7.30, 6-year-old in bed by 7.45, 8-year-old can stay up a little longer, was 8.15, but she started to be hard to get up in the morning, so put it back to 8pm.

We don't have later bedtimes on the weekend unless we're out late or something. Would still be back and in bed by 9pm at the latest on those occasions.

8 year old goes to bed 8ish on a school night and we're abit more relaxed at the weekends and allow 9pm ( unless we want to watch something that isn't appropriate!)

He doesn't have an official bedtime on th weekend but he does get tired by 9.30 so is always in bed by then.
I think with the lighter evenings he thinks he's being sent to bed 'early'

Dd just turned 8 and she goes to bed around 9 and asleep around 9.30. She wakens naturally at 6.50-7.10 so I reckon that's right for her.
