Clocks going foward: tips for adjusting their clock and ours!

The dreaded clocks are changing this coming weekend. I normally look forward to this time of year as the longer evenings / extra sunlight ,makes me feel brilliant. However, I remember last year trying to settle DS back into a semi acceptable routine took about 3 weeks (both ends of the year spring / autumn) and I feel tired just thinking about it!
Ok, so I'm pathetic, but just wanted to know any cunning tactics that may help.
I'm working on bringing his bedtime forward slightly now, but that may also bring his morning clock forward too ????

how old is DS - can he tell the time yet ??? If yes, put the clocks forward 15 mins each night...so that by the time Sunday comes he should be adjusted to new time ???!!!!

Also a good tip for Christmas eve to get them to bed early !!!

19 months. Not sure that he understands the concept of time yet. But good one to remember for later on.
