Mumas and Papas mattress size

My brain is not working today (maybe lack of sleep).

DD is is six months old so it's time to migrate her to her own room (her infernal shifting about and side-scratching in a now-slightly-too-small Next To Me) is driving me to distraction.

We have an M&P Haxby bedroom set (as yet unbuilt).

Blurb on the M&P site says that any cotbed sized mattress will fit, however M&P mattresses are 139x69cm whereas standard cotbed mattresses are one cm larger in length and width (140x70).

Do you reckon we can buy a standard size one and squish it in (it's only 0.5cm difference on all sides)?

I have no idea where to start in buying a baby mattress other than buying a mid-price one with good reviews... does any one have any pearls of wisdom?

Yes you can. We have a mamas and papas cot with a standard 140x70 mattress it's fits perfectly, had it for two years! No issues. I bought it from online for baby it is a sprung one, seems very comfortable. Lo loves his cot.
