Anybody have a White Company Cotbed-switching from cot to bed???????????????

Ds is 2.5 and sleeps very happily in his cotbed-(bought from the white company)

Two questions really...Should I leave it as a cot until such time as he is unhappy in it...?....or change it to a bed????

If I change it to a bed..need to know whether the side pieces are high enough to stop him from rolling out(they are somewhere in the loft)or do I need to buy special
bed sides????

anyone with knowledge of this cotbed..advice/tips gratefully received.

We changed from a cot to a white company bed when DD was 2.5 years old, and was fine without any bed sides. Sorry have no experience of the cotbed itself, but I think you would be fine without the sides

sorry yes, the sidebits inyourloft will be fine i'm sure, i would n't buy special sides
i am so happy with the bed, really well made and easy to put together, it is so worth the extra money

just not sure when to change it as he's so happy in it as a cot.

If he's happy in the cot you could leave him for a bit, particularly if you don't need the cot for anyone else.
I think once they start trying to climb out of the cot, that is when you need to change them to bed, otherwise you could just stick with the status quo for a bit, as the benefit of the cot is that they are 'stuck ' in it adn can't get out( to torment you early in the morning) although we just stair gated the door

no....definately don't need it for anyone else
ds sleeps in a grobag so wouldn't be easy to climb out...he never tries though..just sits happily,reading or playing with vast number of soft toys when he wakes up!

I'd wait a few months and reassess then
sounds great at present

yes...not eager to spoil it for him....but would rather move him before the age of 18!
