my ds is 4.5 months (but was nearly 4 weeks prem.)Has slept well half swaddled inside moses basket in cot. Want to get him in cot now, and not sure whether to get him a grobag. Has anyone out there found these good or not so good!! Also there are so many places selling them, could do with some recommendations on best places to buy them from, especially 1 tog ones for summer. And do you still tuck them in with a sheet as well?

Hi alibo. We put DS in grobag at about 4mths. He is now nearly 6mths and moving around a lot so we tuck him with a thin sheet at night. Grobags can be expensive but Asda's are the cheapest £10 for a 1 tog bag. You can get 0.5 tog ones which I think we will have to purchase for the summer but I have only seen these in baby shops and they cost over £20.
Hope this helps
Wellsie

thanks for the tip about Asda. DS is3.5 months and I have just moved him from Moses Basket to Cot and Grobag, and was wondering where was cheapest to get him more! I don't tuck ds in with a sheet above - though as the only one I have got is a 2.5 tog i am very careful not to overheat!!

I think most people on here love grobags. I got mine from bump to 3, not the cheapest but far the best quality.

I put dd in hers at about 6 months. I've always ordered mine from here www.grobag.com and found the service/products excellent.

I got my last one from \linkwww.lullabys.co.uk/here{} (click on BEDTIME along the top). It's the cheapest I've found on the web so far.. Service was good too and got mine within a few days.

My dd is 5 months and has one from grobag (www.grobag.com), which is excellent but was quite expensive. I've also got a really lightweight one from ASda that I've used a few times and a couple of others from various places. Grobag one is the favourite! THe thing to look out for is where the zip is- the GRobag one zips up the front but some others zip round the bottom and side and because dd kicks so much she unzips it and ends up with her legs hanging out. I used it from when she was about 12 weeks and love them.

The Grobag ones are sized 0-6 months and (I think) 6-18 months so you might be better waiting till your ds is a bit bigger/older and getting the next size up? I'm only saying that because my dd is about to 'gro' out of hers (but she is very long) and I'll need to get at least one in a bigger size.
