Baby's bedtime getting later. Is it the morning nap?

My baby is 4 months old. He wakes at 7:30am and I put him down at 9am for a nap of about 1.5 hours. Since I've been going this, his bedtime has changed from 8:30 ish to about 10am. Could it be that he sees the morning nap as an extension of his nighttime sleep? If so - do I wake him earlier (at 7am) and / or cut the nap so it is shorter? Many thanks.

That sounds fine for a morning nap to me. What are his afternoon naps like?

Your baby is only 4 months Doesanyoneknowtheanswer, I think you are over thinking things.

Evening unsettledness is normal. SIDS recommendations say baby stays with you until you go to bed, until 6 months old. Your baby needs an evening nap. This wont necessary be part of the nights sleep.
