Is there a 'proper' way to co sleep???

Just wondering, have always semi co slept with Ds and DD1 but by 4/5wks they have wanted their own space or easily settled in their crib/cot. DD2[6wks] however is another kettle of fish, she doesnt settle at all unless in the bed with us. Now with all 3 I have continued to use a body pillow and I put it around myself and baby lies more on the pillow at an angel to me so they cant fall off/roll over etc. Now I dont use the big duvet but a throw so I tend to drape the baby in their own light blanket and a bit of the throw. Is this ok???

hi lockets how are you doing???
I would curl next to DD2 but have huge boobs so worry about smothering/crushing her..hence I keep the body cushion in at the min.

We had bedside cot, so co-slept, but he was in the cot, worked really well for us, also have used a tomy bed rail on our bed with ds1 when we co-slept.used duvet to stomach level, then thin blanket to cover baby.

Hello there!

I don't think that there is a right way. Just do what makes you feel comfortable and allows you the most rest!

All four of ours have co-slept to varying degrees. We haven't even owned a cot for the last two...

We also have a bedrail. DD2 just alternates from the middle of the bed to the ouside depending on the side she is last fed from... She refuses to sleep under any blanket so i tend not to worry about her being too warm but rather too cold.
