Do you use the sleepyhead at nighttime?

...is it safe for newborns at night or do you just use it during the day for naps?

It's for overnight sleeping as Wellare naps. It's safe. My understanding of the safety info on the website is that the bumper material and the cover are breathable to the extent that even if the baby managed to press its face against it whilst sleeping, it could still breathe enough oxygen to be ok. This is what the maker claim differentiates it from cheaper or homemade versions.

Wellare = as well as. Very random autocorrect, sorry!

I have used a sleepyhead for daytime naps and night time sleeping since day one (DD now 11 months).

Obviously make sure you follow all other SIDS guidelines etc.

It's fine for overnight, I triple checked the small print. Still got paranoid each time I changed the cover in case it wasn't firm enough but baby sometimes squashed his face right up against the edge and he was fine and dandy
