My boys weren't too bad. They normally woke around every 4 hours for a feed when very tiny, but both of them slept through from around 3 months old.

DrDaddy · 16/02/2007 15:43

DS1 slept through night from about 12 weeks old; DS2 from about 14 weeks.

PeterJones · 16/02/2007 15:43

DS 20 months. Hideous hideous as a tiny baby. every 2.5 hours for ever. Still a periodic pain (currently yelling like a banshee when he is put to bed for no apparent reason).

My brother and his wife. 2 girls. 6-8 (thats 6pm till 8am!!!) from 10 weeks.

GRRRRRRR

fizzbuzz · 16/02/2007 15:44

No, girls are worse

feetheart · 16/02/2007 15:44

DD slept through from about 14 weeks
DS slept through from about 14 months

jampot · 16/02/2007 15:45

yes

dd slept through from 6 weeks

we had to wait for 9 weeks for ds to do teh same grrrr

unknownrebelbang · 16/02/2007 15:46

My three boys slept through from very early on.

In fact, middle baby slept so well he ended up back in hospital because he wasn't feeding enough (other issues as well of course).

DS slept through by 6 mths - putting him to bed was never been a real problems - don't have a DD so can't compare, but personally always attributed DS's good sleeping/healthy appetite to the fact that he was big at birth and remains a very tall boy. Maybe size has more to do with it than gender???

Rantum · 16/02/2007 15:49

"has never" sorry...

unknownrebelbang · 16/02/2007 15:50

Eldest slept six hours at 4 days old (his first birthday present to mummy, lol).

Yes Cod, we did, lol.

LucyJones · 16/02/2007 15:54

dd slept through earlier than ds but ds was much more chilled in day
dd's daytime naps rarely in cot, mostly naps in arms or pushchair

unknownrebelbang · 16/02/2007 15:54

Rantum may have a point, mine were all big babies.

Pinkchampagne · 16/02/2007 15:54

DS1's Godmother has a DD & a DS. She says her DS slept through right away, but her DD didn't sleep at night until she was 3 years old! She says that if she had been her first, she would have been an only child!!

DrDaddy · 16/02/2007 16:04

A colleague of mine has 2 girls. His eldest didn't sleep through the night until she was 7....

years..
Second one was three years.
Swings and roundabouts.
Yes our two are both big too.

Mercy · 16/02/2007 16:05

jampots

dd didn't sleep properly during the day until she 5 months old, let alone through the night.

ds slept through at about 14 weeks, and napped regularly during the day - but he is going through a phase of waking up during the night (he's 3 now).

fizzbuzz · 16/02/2007 17:27

Ds slept through at 6 weeks old, and napped like clockwork.

Dd slept through at 16 weeks old, and doesn't seem to like napping. Also shouts out in her sleep all the time
