WHATS HAPPENED TO MY LITTLE SLEEPER?

MY 14 WEEK OLD BOY(ON WED COMING UP), HAS BEEN A REASONABLY GOOD SLEEPER GOING DOWN AT 7 AND SLEEPING GENERALLY TO ANYWHEE BETWEEN 6 AND HALF 7 AM, ANYWAY YESTERDAY HE WOKE AT HALF 5 FED AND WENT BACK OVER TILL HALF NINE AND THEN LAST NIGHT (HE MUST HAVE SENSED I WAS GOING OUT ON A GIRLS NIGHT) HE WOKE AT 2AM AND 6AM AT BOTH TIMES TAKING AROUND 4-5 OZ, CLEARLY I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS NEW GAME AND WE HAVE HAD A CHAT ABOUT IT BUT IT DINT SEEM TO GO IN! ANYWAY WHAT TO DO? HE IS ON SMA GOLD AND THOUGHT ABOUT GOING ON WHITE BUT THROUGH DAY HE GEN GOES 3 HRS BETWEEN FEEDS AND AGAIN TAKES ANYWHWERE BETWEEN 4 AND 7 OZ. THE OTHER OPTION IS OF COURSE WEANING. PLEASE ADVISE AS I AM TRULY WRECKED TODAY AND CANT FACE A REPEAT. MAYBE ITS JUST A GROWTH SPURT BUT I DONT KNOW WHEN THEY HAPPEN? I WEANED MY DAUGHTER AT 14 WEEKS BECAUSE 4 YRS AGO YOU DID BUT ITS ALL CHANGED AND ALTHOUGH I DONT WANT TO RUSH INTO ANYTHING SLEEP IS IMPORTANT TO THE SANITY OF OUR HOUSE.

Early weaning doesn't always solve a sleep problem. It does sound like a growth spurt - there's no set times when they happen.

My lo had a huge growth spurt from 4 months until 6 months. Sleeping went out the window unfortunately but he did go from being under the 25th percentile to being over the 50th percentile. I'm afraid I have no advice but weaning did not help my lo and I have read that it can make some babies sleep worse!

I second both of the other posts. I don't think you should wean tbh. Offer more milk. This sounds very very normal and I think you've been very lucky to get this far with so few wakings. My DD. 5 months. Still wakes 1 to 2 night for feeding.

well alst night he went again 7 till 6 so i breathed a sigh of relief, little toad! Defo dint want to wean anyway till well after 17 weeks. thanks anyway
