Dd2 has only ever slept right through a handful of times since she was born. We should have done cc AGES ago with dd2 (16m) but I've been too concerned for dd1 (5) who wakes really easily and can't get herself back off to sleep very well. So we've just been giving dd2 a bottle in the night when she wakes and that generally does the trick but of course I knew we'd have to tackle things eventually. So, with it being half term, for the last 2 nights dh and dd1 have slept up in the attic room togther away from dd2's caterwauling, and last night after 1 and a half hours of her crying she got herself back off to sleep.

I only went in to her 3 times as it seemed to make her much worse when she saw me - she got hysterical, and only calmed down after periods on her own again, probably because she was so tired. I know it doesn;t work for everyone and I'll admit it was quite hard but I'm determined now that we can crack this before the end of half term. Hoorah!
