My dd cries out in sleep very regularly. Tonight it's at least every 10 minutes. She's had teething gel and is pushing me away if i go near. She is asleep btw, it fades in an out but gets very loud. She has always had phases of doing it, recently I moved her out of my bed to her cot so I don't know if that's making a difference. I just can't work out what's causing this, how to calm her down? And would really like to get to sleep myself too as it's impossible

Awww bless her. Is fine it quite distressing listening to such a lot of crying all through the night, even if asleep.

Maybe she is reacting to bring alone in her room?

To ease the transition from your bed to get cot in her room, could you bring the cot into your bedroom? Coukd you move a chest of drawers or dressing table out for a bit to fit the cot in?

Then she first of all gets used to the cot and being in her own sleeping space, but with you vloseby. You could then gradually move the cot further from your bed until it is the other side of the room.

Is fine I'd find it quite distressing listening...

We have this too. Our one year old has been in her own room for months. No advice, just solidarity.

Ds does this sometimes, it's as if he's having a bad dream. In fact sounds a bit like a loud dog having a dream. I get night terrors and hope he's not getting them. Hes almost always in my bed when he does it, and it doesn't wake him. I tend to give a cuddle and some shushing and it seems to help.
