Baby Whisperer six month old gone off track - help!

Hi ladies,
My DD is six months old this week. She's been a breastfed Baby Whisperer baby since she was a few days old, she has always been totally textbook, verging on angel on a good day and only touchy when overtired. A couple of weeks ago her naps started getting shorter and shorter and she was waking earlier, for no apparent reason. After a lot of thought I decided it was time to introduce solids, and she's been having a few spoons of various homemade fruit and veg and cereal at breakfast and lunch, and loving everything. Naps got back on track immediately: so far, so good.

But then over the past week it's all gone wrong - she is waking really early, sometimes before 6, chatting to herself, then she is already tired out when I give her milk at 7 and too tired to eat solid breakfast, so I've been putting her down for her morning nap earlier and earlier, giving her solids at odd times (while trying to stick roughly to our four hour milk routine) and of course as a result the rest of the day is now totally out of synch, she's not getting enough sleep and probably not enough calories either.

She's been quite constipated for the past few days and that seems to be a contributor, and her first tooth is coming through, too. So she's overtired and uncomfortable and I can feel myself slipping into all sorts of accidental parenting habits and really want to help her get her back on track.

Any suggestions from fellow Baby Whisperer mummies? Thanks a million!

Hi Pinchy sorry only just seen this DD is an Angel baby and did the same thing. I built upto 3 meals but always gave baby rice for tea for a long time. I found that once I applied EASY properly again everything settled back down. But DD has moved wake up time to 6.30 she will babble to herself for half an hour or so. I now give half the milk then breakfast straight away and she finishes the bottle if she's still hungry. Teething could be the issue - DD seems to trouble going to sleep because of teeth coming through. I did find EASY easier to apply once DD was on 3 meals a day. Try giving her milk / solids sooner after she wakes up may do the trick and will help the routine.
