When to sleep in their own room?

Helloi was wondering when i should put my dd into her own room. She is sleeping through the night and is coming up to 8 months old.
I didn't want to rock the boat by moving her into her own room. BUT i have started work again now and i am not sure if my alarm wakes her up...also i think i disturb her when i eventually get into bed. What does everyone think?

ds went in his own room at 5 nontha and went amoothly. we had a cot in our room so iot literally just moved.

Hi I moved dd into her own room at 6 months and she was fine with the change, I think she is disturbed less now that she cant hear me at the side of her! She has now started waking up in the night but that is to do with the dummy not being in her own room (asking about this in seperate thread)

we put ds in his room when he was 3 months. He'd outgrown his moses basket and we couldnt really fit his cot in our room so he went in on his own. The doors are always kept open and i did use monitors to start with but tbh i could hear him anyway. he was fine and we all slept better as we weren't disturbing each other

Ds went into his own room when he was 9 weeks old and didn't fit in the moses basket any more. Our room is too small for a cot to fit in.

I found both my dcs slept a lot better in their own rooms. The recommende stay in your room is at least 6 months so I say go for it. You deserve to have your space back too and she's only across the hall.

i moved my dd into her bedroom at 8 months.....
i would've of better done it at 7months but was too lazy!!!

We did three months with ds and 3 days with dd - I have very noisy grunty children.

We moved both ds1 and ds2 into their own rooms at about 6 mths. I had the impression that they were disturbed less in there (although they both still woke up about a million times a night anyway). I remember feeling very weird and anxious though the first time ds1 especially was not right there next to me. I think I may even have got up a few times just to check on him even when he hadn't woken me up...

if you have room to put her in where she wont be woken by other noises (i.e you) and shes sleeping through... id move her right about now.

and then revel in being able to speak in a normal voice (not whisper) in your own bedroom again

That all sounds fantastic. I.e. moving her now. One of the reasons why i have kept her in my room as well is that i am on my own with her in the house, so it is nice company for me too :-)
Selfish i know, but i think it is time, before she realises the change sniff
