my ds would love anything thunderbird-like

hotmama · 19/01/2007 22:50

Oh - I used to have Thunderbird ages ago as a student.

As long as you don't do it every night it will be O.K!

lucykate · 19/01/2007 22:51

its an awful strong alcholic drink that students used to drink

Ooh what about Maddog 20/20 or just go for Buckfast cheap and kind of smells like cough mixture, which is good if you get unexpected visits from the HV.

chubbleigh · 19/01/2007 23:34

funnypeculiar · 20/01/2007 20:44

Now, who remembers blastaway, a delectable mix of castaway (shocking 5alive style alchopop) & diamond white - class in a glass...

rachfran · 20/01/2007 20:46

I used to love Blastaway!

starj · 20/01/2007 21:02

I have a friend who still drinks blastaway! Think she's had to find an alternative to the castaway part nowadays though

funnypeculiar · 20/01/2007 21:03

right - that's me sorted for my next visit to the pub then

MarsLady · 20/01/2007 21:07

Thunderbird.... ah them was the days! lol

Yes I think it's perfectly acceptable to fill the teat of his dummy with Thunderbird, but don't forget to roll it in jam and then coat with sugar!

If he doesn't sleep..... then I think you might have to start on the Jamaican Rum... but don't forget to give him some in his milk. hth

rachelhill · 20/01/2007 21:14

Blimey I thought you were trying to bait the mummy police. I don't watch TV. Gave it up when I was pregnant with my daughter so have no bloody idea what Big Brother is (please don't enlighten me).

However my MiL INSISTS that a tot of whisky in a bottle last thing at night is just the ticket for getting babies to sleep (she's not allowed to babysit for obvious reasons). She's 80. My husband drinks too much. Can anyone see a connection?
