If I start do I do it for all wakings or do one at a time.

He currenly goes to bed at 7.30/8pm sleeps until 12ish and has a feed then until 3/4ish. Its that feed we have a problem with as he is wide awake and wont go back to sleep in his cot. Plus I cant see how he could be hungry as he has 7ozs ff at 12pm and a small bf at 3/4am

hi kbaby, my dd is 7 months and is exactly the same she will only fall asleep in my arms and cant settle herself.

I have tried putting her down when almost asleep to let her do the last bit herself but she wakes as soon as I put her in the cot, but I cant really do pu/pd as she doesnt cry she just kicks her legs and rolls over thinking its playtime, she was still wide awake after 2 hours last night so gave in and got her to sleep in my arms! (know I shouldnt have but I wanted some sleep myself!)

Let me know how you get on and what works for you!

Hi there...my dd is coming up to 6 months on 24th Jan & we are having such a tough time at the mo. She also settled really well on her own then since we introduced some solids she has been really unsettled on a night, wanting to be cuddled and waking with a pain (me thinks) and then doing lots of burps and pumps. Anyway last night I tried the pu/pd at 7pm & it took 4 attempts before she went to sleep, previous attempts she had cried the minute her head touched the mattress. Then she woke again at 4am, fed her and put her back to bed, head hit mattress...awake. but this time didn't cry thought it was play time, kicking legs etc. So just left her for 10mins then dh went in and cuddled her to sleep. Hope this is just a phase!
