as she had the 20m old in her bed from birth and now is struggling to get her back in her own bed. She is cracked it a few months ago but everytime the 20m old have an infection or not well she is in her mums bed - which is her mums fault really.

the 20m old gets out of her bed and stand by the gate on her door howling..the mum put her back in bed again and again for the past hour till she gives up and put her into her own bed (mums) (i told her that she might need to hang on abit longer)

ive asked to get a hot water bottle to warm up the babys bed as possibly she get woken up in a cold bed after she had fallen asleep in her mums arms. 2nite she is gonna try the baby massage after her bath and see what happens.

anymore ideas?

Oh wow - I've been there - twice.

My Los now sleep in their own room but will often (once a week) come into our bed, for cuddles - which we like. For most part they are now in their own room though.

Tips:
let her personalise her room: maybe a toy that 'lives' only in the bedroom and can't be taken out off that room. let her choose a duvet cover, picture etc

biggest tip is: routine. make sure her daytime nap is in the bedroom, not pram, mums bed or anywhere else. at night time, do the same thing - dinner, play, bath, bed, story. For 2 weeks or so I slowly made my way out teh door and sat outside it. To make sure she did not feel abandoned.

we also did teh bribe method: for every morning dd woke up in her bed, the fairies had left a sticker under her pillow. worked a treat

good luck
