When can I introduce a pillow into my 20mth olds bed

My ds is 20mths and is sleeping in a cotbed with the sides up still. He sleeps under a baby duvet, but i was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to when i should introduce a pillow?

I have just ordered one off the internet but am not sure as to when i should start using it.

they can have one from 12 months, so your ds will be fine.
