sitting next to 6 month old screaming in cot

Hi ladies

Really need to crack daytime napping with 6 month old. He doesn't then gets so so cranky.
Will only sleep after about 1 of pushing buggy, walking in sling, or rocking in dark room, and then wakes as soon as those activities stop. That's fine but all 3 of those activities are usually scuppered by a bored almost 3 year old. And certainly can't do it 3 times a day.
Currently sitting next to cot singing and handholding to full on screams. Been 45 mins now.

Have you tried a full milk feed and a dummy?

Yes, he's fed. Won't take a dummy

Baby finally fell asleep about 5 mins after my first post and slept for an hour.
Just need to crack the cot sleeping as its really not fair on the toddler - I'm just sticking him in front of the TV at the moment, whilst all my time is spent on baby. To be expected with a newborn, but want to address the balance now baby is getting a little older.
