What age did you put your toddler into a proper bed?

Just curious, as every other parent I know with children younger than my 22 month old seem to be moving them into a proper bed and I keep getting asked if she's in a 'big girl bed' yet but she isn't ready yet (or rather I'm not) so she's still in her cot.

Stairgate on the door. Mine sleep all night so once they're asleep they don't get up and play til the morning - which is great because you get a lie-in

I know some of my chums have gates over doors which explains early transition to bed.

As my dd is not interested in moving yet I would rather wait as long as we can now meaning we can avoid he aver just wandering issue
