2 year old DD has developed a fear of going to bed?

Started just after leaving her with a babysitter. Is she terrified of me leaving her? this has never happend before but I think she is so much more aware of things.

How can I control the hysterical crying at bed time. She used to love going to bed. it's taking hours to settle her down.

She is also very clingy and I am so keen for her to feel confident without me by her side all the time.

Has anything happened with the babysitter? Have you asked her to explain her fears?

I don't think anything happened with the babysitter but it was the first time we used her and she seemed really nice and competent.

DD is to young to speak in sentences.
