does teething make them want milk in the night?

My son is 11.5 months. Has been on formula since 6 months old and since then has never been fed in the night.

This week he has 3 teeth coming through at the top and has been waking at night and will only settle with milk. Last night he had 9oz before bed, 5oz dream feed and 5oz at 3am!

Is it the teething? He has 6 teeth already and I've not had this issue when any of the other teeth came through.

Any advice?

Could be a growth spurt?
If it is teething though, maybe try some calpol at bedtime if baby seems in pain. If you're worried about giving too much milk, could you try water in a bottle if it's just for comfort sucking?

I think it def is a growth spurt - I didn't think of that. Should I just go with it then? Or give him more milk in the day?

I do give Nurofen before bed so I was surprised he was waking.

It's not comfort sucking as he drains all 3 bottles and has a dummy.

I just go with it during growth spurts. Maybe offer a bit more food during the day if he's extra hungry.

I will try but he is less interested in food at the moment. Again that started earlier this week.

Could be painful for him to eat if he's teething. Frozen foods can be quite soothing, my DS loved frozen watermelon when he was teething.

I gave him an Ella ready meal and a fruit pouch for dinner - it was weird to spoon feed him when he has fed himself for so long!
