Our son was doing amazing in his cot until I had an operation and the last 2 weeks he's been in with me. Crying if we move him. He's now 10weeks and I'm not sleeping well with him next to me. He is breast fed and sleeps ok in his carry cot downstairs. Need advise which isn't just leaving him to cry. Want to get back to how he was.

Try laying him down with one of your night shirts so he still has your smell, this may help with his attachment to you

How about trying a side-car cot?

Take one side off your cot and butt it up to the side of the bed. Makes for a nice in-between of baby being in own cot in his own space, but still very easy for you to lean over to him and feed/settle as needed, without needing to sit up in bed. Also means you get your own space back in bed.
