Ds is 2.1. He was an awful sleeper when he was tiny, coslept till 18mo, then we eventually got him to sleep all night, in his own cot. bliss

But for the past week or so he's been saying "sleep in big bed with my mummy" and crying his eyes out. he's a bit generally tired and stressed as we've had builders in and we've had to be out/stay at granny's more than usual. He's been crying miserably in his cot for 20 minutes. Am I being too hard? Should I relent and take him to bed with me?

I'd try and keep him in his own bed. You'll all feel better for it when he gets over this little hill and starts sleeping properly again.

My DS was like this - reflux followed by ezcema did not make for a sleepy baby. He's now 3yo and mostly OK but we have had a recent episode and although he's sneaked into our bed a couple of times without us knowing until morning (keep yours in a cot as long as poss!!!) we've come through it and he's sleeping well again. It lasted for just under 2 weeks btw.

Best wishes.
