Angelcare monitor incorrectly detecting movement

I've been using the angelcare monitor for two weeks with two week old with no problems. Last night I picked her out of crib and forgot to turn the alarm off but it didn't go off. Instead it kept ticking saying it was detecting movement in the crib? I tried everything to get it to stop. I've turned sensitivity down and all other appliances off but it's still detecting movement and she isn't in the crib. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen? If so what did you do? It's also showing the wrong temperature. How can I reset it? What else can I try?

Thank you xx

Could you take it back? It sounds faulty.

Is it on a flat board (like a clipboard or small piece of MDF)?

So it should be base of cot, then board, then monitor, then mattress.

I would return it - they're sensitive to even the smallest movement but that doesn't sound right.
