Can't get 8 month old off boobies help!

My 8 month old son will not sleep without boob And being in my bed. I have tried almost everything on Google and I'm not a firm believer of cry it out method. I tried this once and he cried so bad he threw up everywhere and consequently chocked and got everyone in a state!

Any good ideas or tricks for how anyone else managed this?

I wouldn't recommend cry it out for a baby less than 12 months old anyway.

Have you tried a dummy? Where is his cot and when does he use it?
