5 week old 1-3 hours sleep in a stretch

My baby has just turned 5 weeks. A few weeks ago he was managing two stretches of 3-4 hour sleep at night, which was good. Then poor little guy got a stomach bug & it all changed because he was poorly. Now 10 days later he is almost totally better (tummy still slightly unsettled yesterday but he's feeding well & not being sick) but he only sleeps shorter stretches at night - sometimes only an hour, or two hours. Am so tired! He is feeding fine.

Sounds normal to me, sorry! Is he maybe going through a growth spurt?

Sounds completely normal to me too, sorry..

This too shall pass! Grin Flowers

Well actually that's reassuring if normal. Mums in my NCT group are enjoying 5 hour stretches of sleep at night so I thought we were missing something!

My 5 wks old lad feeding every 2 hours, I just keep reminding myself not forever through the fog of exhaustion. My other half works away for 2 wks at a time too. I was recommended The Wond e r Weeks book and it explains a lot, there is also an app. Fingers crossed our little ones improve!!! Xxxxx
